The winner of a competition by a well-known lumber company, this house was designed to easily and logically accomodate a variety of additions.
The premise was to allow a customer to purchase the base house (1,325 sq ft) as a package (plans and materials). Additional packages (again plans and materials) could be purchased as the needs of the owner required and their budget allowed.
It is shown here with a 2-story family room and master bedroom, 2-car garage and deck (3 separate packages).
This was one of the earliest homes homes designed with passive solar heating in mind.
